Rabbi Mauricio Balter (הרב מאוריסיו בלטר) was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He received an MA in Jewish thought from the University of Haifa. He received his rabbinic ordination in 1991 from the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano Marshall T. Meyer. He attended the prestigious Educators Graduate Program at the Melton Center for Jewish Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and continued his educational leadership training at the Leatid program in Argentina.

Rabbi Balter Balter was a Rabbi in Argentina for 12 years at the Kehilot of Tucuman and Salta (Northern Argentina) and Or Hadash Kehila of Buenos Aires. He was also the first director of the Masorti Movement in Argentina. He made aliyah in 1995 and was Rabbi of the Kiryat Bialik community for 15 years. From 2010 until 2017, he served as the Rabbi of Kehilat Eshel Avraham in Be’er Sheva. He was formerly Chair of the Publications Committee, as well as a member of the Executive Committee for Masorti Israel, and previous served as co-president of the Rabbinical Assembly in Israel and was a member of the Administrative Committee of the International Rabbinical Assembly.

Rabbi Balter currently serves as Executive Director of Masorti Olami and MERCAZ Olami and sits on the Executive of the World Zionist Organization and the Board of Directors of JNF-KKL where he heads the committee on sustainability and environmental protection.

Rabbi Balter has been married to his wife, Bilha for 40 years. They have two daughters, Maia (married to Herman) and Shani (married to Orion), and two Grandsons, Matan-Chaim and Ma’or.

With a background in educational leadership and a passion for bridging diverse communities, Shoshi Bassan brings years of experience in program development and Jewish community engagement, including previous roles in Jewish Community Centers and summer camps abroad.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Education from Emunah College, specializing in Group Facilitation and Content Creation, she believes in the power of informal education to inspire connection and understanding, using theatre and educational tools to foster meaningful dialogues within communities.

Shoshi lives with her husband, Harel, and daughter, Beeri, in Ovnat, on the western shore of the Dead Sea. She enjoys cooking and hiking, often exploring new trails and recipes in her spare time.

Nilli Glick Asaf was born and raised in Tel Aviv and has worked in Jewish education for over ten years: Between 2008 and 2010 she was a Jewish Agency Israel Fellow for Hillel at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and since she returned has been working for Hillel Israel as a program director at Hillel in Tel Aviv University and as the Director of Hillel at IDC Herzliya.

Nilli holds an MA in the History of Israel and a BA in the History of Israel and Studies of The Land of Israel from Bar Ilan University, and today is studying for a second MA in Learning Technologies at Holon Technological Institute (HIT).

Over the years she has participated in various Beit Midrash programs including Kolot Fellows and Beit Midrash Heder MiShelach at the Hartman Institute and more. Today she is participating in 248: A new global community action network, organized by Partnership2Gether, Rehovot - Minneapolis.

Nilli currently lives in Rehovot with her family.

Ofir Itah-Senderey joined the Masorti Olami team in March 2023. She initially served as the NOAM Olami Director and Masorti Olami Projects Coordinator before transitioning into her current role as Director of Educational Programs and Content Development.

With over 15 years of experience in program development and management, Ofir has worked extensively with civil society organizations dedicated to reducing socioeconomic gaps in Israel.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a master's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Tel Aviv University.

She is also a certified group facilitator and a graduate of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership.

Ofir is deeply committed to advancing social change and Tikkun Olam. She believes that education is a fundamental tool for building inclusive and healthy societies.

Tehila Reuben serves as Deputy Director of Masorti Olami and MERCAZ Olami and works closely with Masorti/Conservative communities around the world. In addition to her broader leadership responsibilities, she directs Masorti Olami’s work with communities in Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia, partnering with local leaders to strengthen programming, connection, and regional collaboration.

Tehila has been part of the Masorti Olami and MERCAZ Olami leadership team since 2011. Over the years, she has coordinated and managed international initiatives, leadership gatherings, fundraising campaigns, and global projects, building strong relationships across continents and deepening connections within the worldwide Masorti movement. Her work reflects a long-standing commitment to strengthening Jewish communal life and ensuring that Masorti communities feel supported, connected, and engaged.

Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, Tehila has helped lead Masorti Olami’s efforts to support Masorti/Conservative communities and refugees in Ukraine, in partnership with The Schechter Institutes.

She is also closely involved in the ongoing operations of the Jerusalem and New York offices.

Originally from New Jersey, Tehila moved to Israel in 2005 and lives in Jerusalem. Outside of her professional work, she is an avid cook who enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors. She especially values spending time in the regions she works with, particularly Africa, where she has family roots.

Adriana Ostrofsky made Aliyah from Argentina after finishing her Social Communication and Journalism studies at La Plata National University in Argentina.

Adriana worked for Masorti Olami in 2021 and rejoined the team in January 2024. Previously, she worked for many years in the tourism industry and is a proud mother of two teenage boys.

During the pandemic, Adriana studied at Wingate Institute and became a personal trainer.

She is passionate about training, healthy eating, and wellbeing. In her free time, Adriana loves to travel around the world and attend concerts and soccer matches.

Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Andreia Viana has been working in Jewish organizations for 15 years. After 10 years at one of the largest liberal congregations in Latin America, she made Aliyah in 2017 and has lived in Jerusalem ever since.

Andreia has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, with a focus and specialization in Social Media Management and Content Creation. With a multilingual and multicultural background, she has experience producing visual and video material, managing communication platforms, and planning and execution of content strategies.

A coffee lover, she enjoys visiting new coffee places and trying new flavours and types of roasting. She likes using memes to communicate, binge-watching Asian tv series, and spoiling her cat.
