Rabbi Harold J. Kravitz is Rabbi Emeritus, Adath Jeshurun Congregation,Minnetonka, MN. He began his rabbinic career there in 1987 and served as SeniorRabbi, Max Newman Family Chair in Rabbinics, from 1996-2023. Ordained by theJewish Theological Seminary in 1987, he is immediate Past President of theRabbinical Assembly (RA). He served on the RA's Va’ad Hakavod (ProfessionalEthics Committee) for 18 years and chaired it for six years. He is Past Board Chairof MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. He is associated with the Center forContemporary Mussar. He is qualified as a mediator and restorative justice circleleader. Heis presently a member of the Zionist General Counsel (Va’ad HaPoel) ofthe WZO.

Harold is married to Cindy Reich who has had a long and distinguished career inJewish education as a Jewish Day School Principal and a consultant to Jewish DaySchools in North America for JTS. Their children are Gabriel and Yael (Smiley),Talia, Elana and Kobe. They have three grandchildren-Joshua, Yona and AsherSmiley-Kravitz.
