Masorti Olami seeks full time Executive Director

Location

Jerusalem. This position requires frequent international travel and work across time zones.

Description:

The Executive Director role is a public leadership position within the Conservative / Masorti movement. This position focuses on leadership, strategy, fundraising, and global relationships, while serving as an articulate spokesperson and senior representative for Masorti Judaism globally, articulating a clear, consistent vision across diverse regions and cultures.

In collaboration with the President and Board, the Executive Director will guide the organization towards accomplishing strategic and financial goals, using responsible, accountable and transparent metrics; will strengthen and cultivate new and emerging Masorti communities, partnerships and lay leadership worldwide; and will formulate and execute a fundraising strategy to increase donor impact and engagement both internationally and within Israel’s national institutions. S/he will strengthen collaboration within the movement’s institutions and programs, and provide ongoing direction, leadership and supervision to the Israel and international staff and partners.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and committed Masorti Jew, with a comprehensive understanding of the movement, it’s communities around the world, and of global Jewish life; the position requires experience in senior leadership and team management roles in the nonprofit arena; senior fundraising and donor cultivation experience; outstanding leadership, public speaking and relationship-building skills across cultures and regions; comfort operating in a global context with significant travel and time-zone complexity; warmth, sophistication, and the ability to work collaboratively with boards, lay leadership and staff; fluent English and Hebrew; additional languages are a plus.
