Vice President, Member of Executive Committee
Rabbi Adam Baldachin has been Rabbi at Shaarei Tikvah in Scarsdale, NY since 2016. There, he also serves on the Executive Committee of the Westchester Board of Rabbis and is currently studying in the seventh rabbinic cohort of the Rabbinic Leadership Initiative at the Shalom Hartman Institute.
Previously, he served as Rabbi at Montebello Jewish Center after graduating from the Jewish Theological Seminary where he received the prestigious Gladstein Fellowship in Entrepreneurial Rabbinic Leadership. While a student, he supported the communities in Lake Norman, North Carolina and in Frederick, Maryland, and interned in Riverdale, NY and in Kiryat Bialik, Israel, studying with Rabbi Mauricio Balter.
Before beginning rabbinical school, Rabbi Baldachin lived and volunteered in Uganda with the Abayudaya, the local Jewish Community, teaching Hebrew, leading services, and helping to build sustainable businesses. He also completed extensive training in community organizing with JOIN for Justice and in pastoral care, interning as a chaplain at Self Help with survivors of the Shoah. He currently lives in Scarsdale with his wife and four children.
