About The Community
The Jewish Community of Gothenburg is a unity community, “Einheitsgemeinde”, dating from about 1775 when Jews were first allowed to settle in Sweden. The community consists of two sections, one Masorti Egalitarian and one Orthodox, functioning well together. The Masorti Section is a member of Masorti Europe.
