About The Community
Founded on April 17, 1947, the Sociedade Israelita da Bahia - or simply SIB - is a Brazilian civil association, beneficent and philanthropic that seeks to promote cult, science, culture, education, sports, recreation and beneficence, under the aegis of religion judaica. A SIB is also ready to represent and protect the members of the local Jewish community as tais when necessary.
