Marom Hungary was founded in 2002 by a group of university students. Its aim is to reinvent Jewish tradition in the framework of Masorti religious ideology and modern Zionism and to recreate the Hungarian Jewish community with the active involvement of young adults. Marom operates a large community center, called Aurora, the home of several social rights and human rights advocacy groups as well as the Dor Hadash Community. Marom also organizes a great summer cultural festival called Bankito. Marom and its projects attract more than 15,000 people every year.
