Masorti Olami is excited to introduce the new Director of their Latin American (AmLat) Desk, Rebeka Salame.
From Mexico City, Rebeka, who has a master's degree in Jewish Studies and Education from Universidad Hebraica México, was Jewish Studies Department director at a prominent school in Mexico's capital and worked as coordinator of Yad Vashem Mexico's Chinuch office.
In her new role, Rebeka's responsible for the connection between the Masorti/Conservative Movement around the world and the communities and organizations in Latin America. She provides professional support, knowledge, and experience to the communities, as well as the Masorti AmLat Board of Directors and the rest of the region on behalf of Masorti Olami.
Rebeka shared: "I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a relevant global Jewish organization. I look forward to helping the region continue to grow and develop, and to share with the world how rich and fruitful the Latin American Masorti world is."
