Rabbi Marcelo Rittner
Rabbi Marcelo Rittner holds a degree in sociology from Belgrano University in Buenos Aires, Argentina and received his ordination from the SeminarioRabínicoLatinoamericano Marshall T. Meyer in 1975. Rabbi Rittner worked as a rabbi in CIP Brazil for ten years. In 1985 he became the senior rabbi at Bet El Synagogue in Mexico City. In 2001, he received an honorary doctorate from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in recognition of his 25 years in the rabbinate. The same year, he was the co-founder and President of an interfaith discussion group for Jews and Christians in Mexico. Among his publications in Spanish are: Learn how to say goodbye – when death touches your heart and If not now, when? Published by Random House.
